Earrings!!

My mom and I took Addi to get her ears pierced today! We were both nervous wrecks! We had to take her to Claire's ( not my first choice but Merle Norman said that at her age she moved around too much and wouldn't do it) and they did a surprisingly good job! Quick and easy! She flinched and got a big fat lip on the first ear and then lost it a little on the second one, but only cried for like 30 seconds. Such a trooper! Right after it happened we took her over to the puppy store. They had some dogs out in a gated area and she had so much fun laughing and watching them she instantly forgot about what had happened. Here she is a Wildflower Bread Co. eating meatballs and showing off her new earrings!!

Happy Birthday to Addi!

We had a huge (around 40 people) birthday party for Addison on Sunday the 11th of April! It was a blast to see all of our friends and family. They sure spoiled Addi! She had a great time and stayed in a wonderful mood the entire day, even with a 7 hour gap between her nap and bedtime!! Here are pictures from the event :)

It's the big.....One!

Well it's official! My sweet little baby girl is ONE! The last year has truly flown by faster than I could have imagined. It's incredible how much someone can change in one year! My little immobile lump is now practically running! She can almost feed herself with a spoon, grabs more than one toy in each hand, claps, shows how BIG she is, blows kisses, gives kisses and hugs, plays soccer, dissects any thing she finds, mimics talking on the phone to daddy, shares her toys, puts the shapes back on the tower it came from, makes train sounds, points to her feet, ears, and nose and so many more things! How is all of this accomplished in just one year? It completely blows my mind!! She is a very smart and determined little thing. She knows what she wants and doesn't stop until she gets it (which in some cases is not a very good thing)....

Addison my girl, you sure have brought us more joy and happiness than we could have ever hoped and prayed for. You fill our hearts to overflowing with just the simplest adorable smile or precious laugh. Continue to grow, learn, and explore in this big world around you and don't forget that we love you more than you can ever imagine! Happy 1st Birthday my sweet baby girl!

Something must be wrong with me...:)

Addison just got her first Birthday present in the mail today. The thought of her opening it brought tears to my eyes. Is this normal? I don't think I am ready to accept the fact that my baby is one! I am way too emotional about it, you'd think I was pregnant again or something (which I'M NOT, so don't get any crazy ideas)

PS: Thanks Uncle Don and Aunt Jo! I can't wait for her to open it!

Easter Bunny

We went to San Tan Mall to get this picture taken of Addison and the Easter Bunny. I actually thought that she would like him.... I was wrong

Fun with the cat!

I don't think that she could have had any more fun trying to brush the cat through the gate that we just set up. We were using a ottoman to keep her from running free around the house but she is so smart and figured out how to crawl over it! You can also hear her say "Ahh Kid-ay (Kitty)" toward the end of the video.

Easter 2010!

It's so odd to think that this was Addison's 2nd Easter and she is a week away from being one! That's what you get for being born on Easter:) We spent the early part of the morning at our house and then went over to my parents house for Brunch and the Upland Dr. Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic! Here are pictures from the day:
