Tonight's the Night!!
We had an ultrasound on Tuesday because the doctor felt that Addison was getting too big. I had an appointment with her this morning and she told me that the ultrasound measured her at 8 pounds already! Everything else looks great and she looks and sounds totally healthy. My blood pressure was elevated a little bit and when she measured me I measured at 40-41 weeks! I was shocked seeing that I had 19 more days to go. She said that it would be smart to go ahead and induce me so she doesn't get too big. She called the hospital to see what times were available and they said to come in tonight at 9:00!!! That's right, we are gonna have her this weekend some time! I don't even know how I feel right now. It feels just like when we found out we were pregnant in the first place. A huge wave of emotions are running through me and I can't seem to signal in to just one. It's amazing to me that she will be out of my stomach and in my arms by the end of the weekend! I just pray that everything runs smoothly and hopefully quickly since induction can take a long long time. I will try to keep this updated as things move along over the next couple of days, as long as I am not in too much pain. Epidural here I come! Wish us luck!!

Congrats! You will be just fine. Trust the doctor, and your nurses and they will take care of you. Try not to get too nervous... It's going to be nice and bearable after your epidural. Make sure you get that because when they induce you, your contractions get a lot stronger and pretty harsh. If your getting induced at 9, you'll probably deliver in the morning. I was induced for both of mine and it lasted over 4 hours each time. I'm so excited for you!!! Take it easy while you're in the hospital and get the rest you need to recoup, because, Honey, you won't have time for sleep once she's home!!
Yea! Even if you were waiting 19 more days, you're never quite "ready".
I'm glad you're getting the epidural. I experienced one childbirth with it and one without. I HIGHLY recommend it!
I was very overwhelmed the first couple of weeks after Grafton was born. My body hurt, nursing was difficult, I was exhausted, my stomach was flabby, and my emotions were up and down..... This is all normal and does goes away!
I'm looking forward to more updates. :0)
