Addi's First Lake Trip
Our friends Garret and Shrina have a boat that they take out onto Saguaro Lake every so often and we finally got a chance to tag along with them and their boys Sammy and Wyatt! Addison had a blast and I think that we may have a lake baby on our hands! She loves to watch the boys jump off the side of the boat into the water. She wasn't super excited about being fully in the water so she would sit on the edge and let her feet splash in. That didn't last too long because there were a bunch of Blue Gill in the water and they nibbled her TOES!! She cried but I think it was my reaction to the fish nibbling on her that scared her the most.

4th of July and the Rest of the Month
Addison and I took a last minute trip up to the cabin for the 4th. I am so glad that we did because she had been very crabby and short tempered before we left and as soon as we got there she turned back into my happy fun loving girl! She sure loves the cabin and I think it is because the weather is basically perfect there and she gets to spend all her time out on the patio. Our family friends Laura and Phil Walin were there also along with my parents! The girls did a lot of shopping at the craft and art festivals that were going on. We played card games and just plain relaxed! Had an amazing time and I, once again, can't wait to go back!!!

Addison had sure been on the move! She is running around all day long make complete disasters wherever she goes. I find myself cleaning up all day long! She is just starting to make understandable words and is copying our actions and tones. She makes us laugh all day long! We went for her 15 month check up and the doctor says that she looks great! She is close to 24months in her development she weighs 23.12oz (not much of a change since her year check up) is 32 inches long and that huge head of hers is still off the charts! She had to get shots and took them like a champ, barley crying after the second one. She was pretty crabby later that day and the next morning but is totally back to normal. Her latest thing is taking all of her colored links and putting them on as bracelets! She has so many it looks like a cast when she has them all on! The other is sitting in the laundry basket with all the balls from the tunnels. What a goof! We are so proud of how well she is doing and how smart she is! Doc says that we have quite the head strong little girl and I don't doubt that for a second!

I'm slacking! But I'm back!
Boy oh Boy did I miss a whole month on here! That went too fast!
Things are going day by day with Addi. She sure knows what she wants and how to get it! Too spoiled if you ask me. I know everyone says you can't spoil them too much at this age but I ask those people to come and spend a day with my little miss and see if they change their opinion about that one!
I love the girl to death but she is out of control! Screaming at every semi-difficult task, completely ignoring me, and doing whatever she wants whenever she wants. Sounds spoiled to me!
Oh the other hand she can be super sweet by walking up and randomly giving kisses to copying the silly things we do. She grabs paper towels when in reach and starts rubbing the floors and tables around the house, she does this adorable fake laugh when Kyle and I are laughing at something on the television, and she wears my purse and grabs my cell phone looking just like a grown up girl on the move!
Whew it's exhausting and majorly entertaining.
She took swim lessons this past month.
They were quite corny if you ask me and she wasn't really all that into them while we were there. She wouldn't pay attention to the lessons and watched everyone else in the class do what they were supposed to and refused to do the tasks herself when asked.
Then you put her in the tub that night for a bath and then all her skills came out in full force.
She would blow bubbles and kick the water like crazy! Why couldn't she do it in class for the instructor?! So silly! Now she is a total fish in the water. She loves to jump off of the side of the pool, kick her legs, blow bubbles, even dip herself under the water without inhaling all of it!
We recently acquired a hot tub from Kyle's mother and got that hooked up last weekend. She LOVES IT!
It is perfect for her since there are lots of high and low places for her to explore, plus she can touch the bottom and still have her head out of the water! She is soo tall! I think we are going to have to throw some blocks of ice in there over the rest of the summer so she can enjoy it more often.
It's been a crazy month, that's for sure!

Addison's First Vacation!!
We have done a few one day trips up to Flagstaff but this past weekend we took a trip up to my parents cabin in Pinetop-Lakeside for 5 days! It was nerve racking getting every thing packed to keep Addison happy during the car trip there and back and while we were there.
I completely over packed (which I always do) but was glad when we got there and the weather was warmer than I had expected. Made me glad that I threw in a few sets of warm weather clothes the last minute.
We had a blast sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful weather, sipping martini's (my Mom and I that is).
We took Kyle to a restaurant called the Munich House for his Birthday and ate delicious German cuisine:) The restaurant was on a Lake and it was so pretty out.
I sat Addi on a ledge of the deck and these two HUGE geese starting honking and making all this noise at her. I wonder if they thought she was food or something!
The next day we went to Horseshoe Lake and did a little fishing, and I mean little! Kyle was the only one to catch anything and caught two fish.

Well let me rephrase that, Kyle and Levi did catch a Crawdad by forcing it out from underneath a rock and hooking it onto a fishing pole.
It was a big sucker too! We also played a lot of horseshoes.
Addi was in a wonderful mood the entire time. I really think that she enjoys being outside in the fresh air.
My parents baby proofed their patio and I must say that Addi had quite the awesome set up! I think it was more baby proofed than our house! We really had a blast and didn't want to come home at all.
I think I foresee a lot of trips up there over the summer to get out of this heat!
