Sleep oh sleep, where have you gone??

Addison seems to have something going on and I assume that it is teething. After over a month maybe even two months she finally popped her top front two teeth! But this didn't come without lots of crabby moments and sleepless nights. The past week has been miserable and even though the teeth came through she is still not sleeping!!! I am not sure if there are more teeth on the way in or if there is something else going on that I am not able to notice. In the past if she woke up in the middle of the night she would eat her bottle and then go right back to sleep, NOT ANYMORE! Now she want's to be up for hours and screams at the slightest movement to her crib. Last night I finally got the courage to let her cry it out and I was miserable. She screamed louder than ever and was gasping for air. She suddenly stopped and then I couldn't sleep thinking that maybe she passed out and that's the reason for the instant quietness. Then a half hour later she was up again!!! Once I finally got her back to sleep she was up an hour and a half later, and wouldn't calm down. I put her in the pack and play, which she hates, but I can't keep her from wiggling around while I hold her and I can't just let her wonder around while I sleep. Needless to say she screamed in my ear for a good half hour while I put the pillow over my head and prayed for sleep. To make matters worse Kyle is out of town for work and I have a feeling that is making her uneasy. He comes home tonight, thank goodness. I've tried every tip that people have given me and am at a loss for what to do next. I have to get some sleep here or I am afraid I am going need a mental institution:) But seriously, it makes things much easier to handle when I get decent sleep. Let's all pray that this gets better and quick!!....Ahhhh nothing like a little venting to help relieve some stress

I've had my fair share of "those" nights. I'm so sorry. My pediatrician told me "3 nights"... 3 nights of TRUE heck, I'm sorry, but it's true: give Addi 3 FULL NIGHTS of screaming the entire night out. Don't get her up for anything... (let her cry/sleep/cry/sleep from 7:30pm to 7:30am) Then I promise you she will be used to full nights in bed and won't cry and usually won't get up in the night. It's worked for both of my kids... Those 3 nights are the worst, but it trained them... and now I sleep through the night just as well as they do!
