Thanksgiving!

Well I survived hosting my first Thanksgiving! I was one huge ball of stress days before and the actual day but everything went very well and we had a great time! I had 10.5 people over for dinner (My mom and dad, Kyle's mom Natalie and her husband Dennis, Natalie's sister Elissa, Kyle's sister Andrea, out roomate Levi, my best friend Kristin and the three of us!) Addison really did well for all the visitors and had a bunch of fun bonding with her family members that she doesn't see on a normal basis. The day after Thanksgiving Elissa's daughter Miriam and her 2 boys Mason and Miles came over to visit and meet Addison for the first time. Addi again did great, I think the change from her every day routine was nice for her. She needed a little change of pace.

We put up all of our Christmas decorations and are very excited for Christmas to be here. I am slightly nervous though because I found out the the pain in my groin area ( as previously mentioned) is acutally a cyst on my ovary and my OB wants to laproscopically remove it. The surgery is scheduled for the 18th of December. I am so leary about being put under but I think that I am making it more of a big deal than it needs to be. AT this point I am hopeful because the pain has really started to subside and is a lot less frequent. Maybe I won't have to have surgery?? Fingers are acrossed.

Addi is learning new things everyday and is crawling in her own sort of floppity way and has learned how to sit up on her own. She is also pulling herself up to standing without any help but can't hold herself steady enough to move around. She is almost 8 months now and I will update again when that day comes! Hope all is well for everyone! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Can it really be 7 months already?

Yes it can, and it is! My once tiny, precious, little newborn is now a big, still precious, curious, gutsy 7 month old!! She sure has changed in such a short time. She is pulling herself up to standing (which she would do all day if she could), already has two bottom teeth with the tops on their way in, almost crawling ( she just can't figure out how to get her hands to move properly with her feet), eating and loving everything she has tried (bananas seem to be her favorite), and learning to express herself in new (LOUD) ways :) She is starting to go through the "Mommy only" stage and I am learning how to please her and attempt to keep my little amount of sanity. There has definitely been a few rough days but a visit to the doctor helped me understand her needs and how to teach her that Mommy needs to get things done around the house and she can't hold you ALL DAY LONG! It's been tough but she is spoiled and I can't continue down this path without there being major tantrums down the road. I know there is no such thing as too much love but I am keeping her from learning how to entertain herself. All in all she is a very happy, healthy, loved little girl and Kyle and I can barely contain our excitement for sharing her first Thanksgiving and Christmas with her!

Happy Halloween-Week

We had a pretty exciting week for Halloween! We went to a pumpkin carving and chili party with the Malonee Family, then to a Harvest Festival on my parents street, and then Trick or Treating at my parents house! It was fun and Addi had many costumes to wear! Here are the pictures:

6 Months!

Has it really been half a year already? I can't believe it! It has been so much fun watching her grow and change and this point in her life she really has loads of personality. She keeps me on my toes for sure and I have to admit that she is spoiled beyond belief and had made me second guess myself a few times. I know that there is no such thing as too much love, but there is a point when I have to back it down a bit. She thinks that she can do what ever she wants when ever she wants and when she doesn't get her way, oh man WATCH OUT! But on a lighter note she is once again hitting her milestones all at once. She is now fully sitting up by herself and so close to crawling its shocking! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth, all she has to figure out is how to get her arms to move along with her legs. She holds the bottle all by herself and is starting to get the hang of the sippy cup. She eats like crazy and loves every jar of baby food that she has tried. She sleeps only on her stomach now which I had to adjust to big time. She slept for so long on her back, which is how the doctors recommend, and then all the sudden, in one, night the only way she will sleep is on her tummy. I didn't sleep well for a few nights, waking up all paranoid, but I have gotten over it and I am sleeping so much better! She ended up getting her first cold at the beginning of last week and woke up with a temp of 102.1 Monday night. She is feeling much better but the poor thing could barely eat or sleep because her nose was so stuffy! She is such a happy little thing and everyone who meets her gets a huge smile! She loves attention and can't seem to get enough of it! She is going to be a Bunny Wabbit for Halloween and she looks like a stuffed doll when she is in her costume.

We are loving the nice beautiful fall weather and took some pictures of Addi out on the lawn! It is so nice to have a house with a big front yard and GRASS!!!

5 Months!!!

Almost half a year has gone by already! My little girl isn't so little anymore, she now weighs over 18lbs! She is huge! The funny thing is that she isn't fat by any means but just very tall and has huge chubby little thighs. Her personality is hilarious and she keeps us smiling all day long. She finally started to sleep through the night about 2 weeks ago and I gotta say that it was time. I was exhausted from getting up two times a night at the least! I even got to the point that my doctor said that I was suffering from exhaustion and anxiety! Man it couldn't have come at at better time. She is working daily on sitting up on her own and she loves to stand up. She can't do it on her own but wants to so badly. Everyone says that she is going to walk before she even learns to crawl. She got to have her first experience with fruits and loves them! She hits her high chair in excitement when she knows its coming. She has tried bananas and apple sauce so far and next is going to be some vegetables. She loves to reach for her toys and today she even rolled over from her back to her tummy! She was reaching for the cat but at least it got her to roll! She is also getting better at spending time on her tummy. She would scream whenever we tried it and now is getting to the point where she will tolerate it for a few minutes at a time and even kicks her legs back and forth like she is trying to crawl but just can't quite get her legs underneath herself. The doctors say that she isn't getting any teeth but she loves to chew/drool/suck on everything that she can get her mouth on! She makes this hilarious squeaking noise on her chewing toy, watch the video, so funny!
