Addison moving around
This is Addison doing what I feel is karate. Looks like she is trying to find her own way out!
Getting Closer!
I had a Doctors appointment yesterday and she says that everything is going well. She finally took me off of bed rest! It was such a relief because I was just about to go crazy sitting around all the time! It looks like Addison could come at any time between now and 40 weeks. I am 35 weeks and 5 days now. I am hoping that she comes sooner than later because I am super uncomfortable and she is running out of room. When you hit 37 weeks you are considered full term. So I think that would be a great time, HAHA.

Addison's Room
As most of you know, we are living with my parents while we are looking for a house to live in. Luckily, my parents have an extra room that we could set up as the "Pseudo Nursery." Since everyone at the shower was so gracious we were able to completely set up Addison's room and it looks wonderful! I ended up making the wall letters and the canopy. We needed the canopy because we had to come up with a way to keep the cats out of the crib! It was actually easier and cheaper than I thought to make those, only about $60 altogether!

Baby Shower!
We had the baby shower today thrown by my Mom and Kristin! It was so much fun and we are pretty much set with all the things that we need to bring Addison into the world! A HUGE thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts, we are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family! We played some interesting games. The first one was having everyone guess what chocolate bar was melted into the bottom of the diapers. It was hilarious watching everyone pass around the diapers and attempt to guess the candy by just looking at it or sniffing it. They would hand them around like it was a real dirty diaper, so funny. My good friend since Junior High, Bethany, won that game! The other game was passing around jars of baby food any everyone had to guess the flavor. I gotta tell you, most of those are terrible smelling, Yuck! Anyways a friend of ours, Shrina ,won that game. I think she had a leg up in the game though since she has two kids and one of them is only a year old. Congrats to both winners! It was a great day and there will be pictures to come!

Things that boredom brings
So since I am still on bed rest I have been trying to waste the time with projects. My mom suggested knitting so I thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try!" So for the past few days that's what I have been trying to do. The first project, a scarf, was a total bust! I gave up after way too many mistakes and gave it to my dog Jane to play with. The next attempt is a baby blanket, which is shockingly going really well! As I promised those few people who are doubting my skills here are pictures to prove it! I apologize for the way I look in the pictures, but seriously, who wants to get all dolled up to sit in bed or on the couch all day long. My hair is a mess and I look like a whale! I am also about to start a scrapbook for the Addison. I figure I have all the time to do it now since I will have no time afterward! Anybody have any other suggestions? TV, movies and video games are just not cutting it anymore!

Bedrest

So I had another trip to the hospital today because of some pretty intense cramps. Once again they monitored me for a little while and said that I am not contracting (which is good), but since I keep having cramps every once in a while, my doctor decided to put me on bed rest until Addison is born. I was pretty shocked and was nervous about telling work that I wouldn't be able to come back until after she is born. So for now I guess that I will be catching up on all of our movies and trying to figure out a way to spend my time other than being on the computer or watching tv for the next three months. At least everything looks ok and this is just precautionary.

Trip to the hospital
Well Monday was an interesting day. The night before I was having some pretty strange cramps that lasted for about three hours. Then that morning they were back so I called the Dr and they had me come in. While I was there they found out that my blood pressure was high so she ran a few tests and then sent me over to the hospital for some monitoring. While I was there they took some blood and ran some more tests and monitored my blood pressure. Apparently I was dehydrated but they couldn't figure out why I was having cramps. They were trying to monitor Addison's heartbeat, but being stubborn just like her mommy, as soon as they could find her heartbeat she was off to a new location! They said that it was a good sign that she was so active though. After a few hours I was released and told to drink a gallon of water a day( which is like 7 bottles, I'll be in the bathroom every 5 minutes guaranteed! ) and I just need to keep an eye on my blood pressure.
Addison is definitely moving like crazy! It almost seems like its non-stop for most of the day. She wakes me up a few times a night too, I can't get over how strong she is! I guess she is just preparing me for whats to come after she is born. I am already used to getting up a few times a night now.
Today marks the first day of my third and final trimester! Only three more months to go! It is bittersweet because I feel like three months is so long still, but to think that I have already gotten through 6 months of it blows my mind! Kyle and I are definitely anxious and can't wait until we get to hold her in our arms!
